  • OYC Europe is a biotechnology company with offices in Southeast Asia, Japan, Europe, and the United States. OYC is a subsidiary of the Nisshin Seifun Group, a long standing food manufacturing company founded in Japan in 1900, OYC Europe creates high-quality raw materials derived from yeast fermentation for life science research, clinical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and human nutrition. OYC’s parent holding company is also a publicly traded company on the Nikkei 225 (Tokyo Stock exchange).
  • OYC Americas, based in Vista, CA, is responsible for the sales and marketing of OYC’s biochemical raw materials and food ingredients in North and South America.

THE PROBLEM/OVERVIEW

The transfer of OYC Europe’s operations from the East Coast of the United States to the West Coast necessitated the hiring of services of a local expert with the know-how in planning and executing a full marketing campaign. The company also needed someone adept at planning and execution of a public relations (PR) campaign.
